Job Summary

Our client are seeking skilled Electricians to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment in various settings. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical principles, safety protocols, and the ability to work effectively with both power and hand tools. You will ensure that all work complies with relevant regulations and standards while delivering high-quality service to their clients.

Duties

Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, systems, and fixtures in residential, commercial, or industrial settings.
Troubleshoot electrical issues and provide effective solutions to ensure optimal performance of electrical systems.
Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics to understand project requirements.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and electrical codes during all work activities.
Collaborate with other tradespeople and contractors to complete projects efficiently and effectively.
Perform routine inspections of electrical systems to identify potential hazards or areas for improvement.
Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent on tasks.

Experience

Proven experience as an Electrician or in a similar role is essential.
Proficiency in using both power tools and hand tools relevant to electrical work.
Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring methods, and troubleshooting techniques.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Relevant certifications or qualifications in electrical work are advantageous but not mandatory.

CMS Recruitment are seeking a Agricultural Mechanic to join our client based in Bishop Auckland. If you are a skilled and motivated mechanic with experience of working on agricultural machinery then this role is for you!

Main Role: To diagnose technical problems and carry out service, repair, testing and PDI activities within their relevant sector (Agricultural, Construction, Groundcare or Lawncare), in line with regulated,manufacturer and business standards and processes.

Key Responsbilities:

Carry out Service, Repair, PDI and Thorough Examinations (if designated and authorised)
Carry out the above activities as are specified on the relevant schedule.
Ensure all scheduled work is carried out and the time taken, parts and consumables used are documented.
Report any faults or problems found outside of the scheduled work and seek authorisation to proceed with rectification work if appropriate.

Carry out such activities utilising department diagnostic and analytical methods and equipment with support from manufacturer systems if appropriate.
Seeking advice from Service Management or the relevant manufacturer if a fault cannot be. diagnosed.
Report cause and effect of problems and ascertain the estimated cost to repair to seek authorisation to proceed with the work and ordering parts (if needed).
Ensure that all activities are carried out within the departmental, business, manufacturer and safety parameters.
Ensure all relevant systems and documents are completed in a timely manner.
Deliver Quality Work in a Safe and Efficient Way

Ensure all work that is carried out is within given safety standards, using specialist tools and equipment in a safe manner.

Be aware of new products and technical diagnostics methods via bulletins, information sheets and machinery manuals.
Utilise technical advice from specialists as required and incorporate learnt methods and knowledge into personal working competences.
Remain aware of changes in Health and Safety practices and attend regular Tool Box talks.
Health and Safety

Promote the cleanliness of the workshop and instil pride into the working environment.
Make sure that all Health and Safety rules are being observed and are correct where necessary.
Ensure that all equipment is suitable for use and report any issues to the Service Manager.
Promote positive working practices.
Person Requirements:

Has completed a recognised engineering apprenticeship and/or holds certified qualifications in the servicing and repair of agricultural machinery.
Has previous experience in the agricultural machinery sector.
Is a proactive team player who can also work independently, while handling pressure and managing deadlines.
Is IT literate and comfortable using internal systems.
Has strong communication skills and a professional approach.
Holds a full UK driving licence.
