Key Responsibilities :

Act as first line management in the organisation and running of the assigned press zone, reporting to the Senior Manufacturing and H&S Controller
We are looking for someone with the personality and the mind-set to make the first step into management of the business.
You should be a team player, with the ability to uphold the company policy on Quality, Health and Safety, productivity, conduct and housekeeping. Ideally with a previous knowledge of press setting, and previous Team Leader experience.
Excellent timekeeping and attendance are also critical to this role.

Powder Coater

CMS Recruitment are currently working with a very well known Engineering company based in Washington. We are currently looking to recruit for a Powder Coater

The Role:

Assisting with all parts of Powder Coating
Metal handling / Preparing material ready to apply finish
Wet painting experience
Loading Coating & Spraying lines
Must have previous experience in a Powder coating position.

Working hours are rotational two shifts:

Dayshift - Monday to Thursday 08:00 - 17:00 Friday 08:00 - 12:00

Backshift - Monday to Thursday 12:00 - 22:00

Press Setter Operative

CMS Recruitment are currently working with a very well known Engineering company based in Gateshead. We are currently looking to recruit for a number of Press Setter Operatives.

You will work across two shifts (early & backs) Monday to Thursday 0630 - 1630 / 1230 - 2230.

To be the ideal candidate, you must have:

Experience and knowledge of working on Press machines.
Ability to use general measuring equipment etc
Be familiar with power press ranging from 90 Ton to 200 ton
You must be able to work independently which will include the changing of tooling, the setting of machine, operating the machine and checking parts. Knowledge of working to and understanding drawings is desirable.

Powder Coater

CMS Recruitment are currently working with a very well known installation company based in Newcastle upon Tyne. We are currently looking to recruit for a number of Powder Coaters.

The Role:

Assisting with all parts of Powder Coating
Metal handling / Preparing material ready to apply finish
Wet painting experience
Loading Coating & Spraying lines

Working hours are rotational three shifts:

Dayshift - Monday to Friday 06:00 - 14:00

Backshift - Monday to Friday 14:00 - 22:00

Nightshift - Sunday to Thursday 22:00 - 06:00

Brake Press Operator

Experience working in a busy workshop with heavy machinary is essential.

Ideally you will already have brake press experience but this is not essentail as training will be given.

We are currently looking to recruit for a number of Welders with ideally the following experience :

Fabricating and welding of mainly mild steel components
Preparation of welds and the welding area
Ensuring the work area is kept clean and tidy while following all health and safety rules

Welder

Welders required in a busy welding shop.

(Basic MIG / TIG Welding ).

Must be willing to work to strict deadlines with a professional attitude.

You will also work as part of a team to meet daily targets.

Previous experience is required but candidates with level 2 level 3 welding qualifications will be considered.

Working hours:

Rotation of a three shift pattern:

Dayshift - 06:00 - 14:00 Monday to Friday

PCB Assembler

The ideal candidate will have experience of working in manufacturing, have good knowledge of the electronics assembly environment, and be able to demonstrate some of the skills detailed below:

Use of all production equipment including surfacemount, light guides.
Able to understand Assembly build documentation
Electronic component recognition
PCB assembly
Hand population, inspection, touch up and testing of PCBs
Hand soldering
Final assembly and test

SMT Operator

CMS Recruitment limited are working with a very well known electronics company based in Newcastle upon Tyne . This client has been designing and manufacturing life-saving products for over 20 years.

Due to high demand the client is looking to add to their current team and add additional SMT Operators to work within an already established team.

The main responsibilities for these roles will be to work within our SMT (Surface Mount Technology) cell for the operation of and selection of relevant programmes for our machines, in order to populate the Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs).

The right candidate will ideally but not essentially have some experience of working in manufacturing and be able to demonstrate some of the below points:

Experience of working in an SMT environment
Already worked within a similar environment or willing to learn (full training provided)
Being able to understand assembly build documents
Previous experience of inspection and touch up of PCBS
Have a willingness to learn the new skills required to operate the SMT line
Be a great team player who works well (both alone and with others).
Have excellent attention to detail, with a good eyesight and dexterity, and the ability to perform repetitive tasks accurately
Must be reliable and able to demonstrate a flexible approach
Have a keen willingness to learn and gain new skills
Shift pattern set out below

2 weeks of 6.00am - 2.30pm (Mon to Thur) and 6.00am - 12.30pm (Fri); then 2 weeks of 6.00pm - 6.00am (Mon to Thur)

Commercial Gas Engineer

CMS Recruitment are currently working with a well know facilities Maintenance company company based in West London who are looking to recruit a number of Commerical Gas Engineers on a permanent basis.

About the role
You will undertake repair, minor and major project works associated with critical, essential and non-essential client requests. SLA and KPI driven, you will be responding to jobs instructed by our Maintenance Coordinators and Project Managers.

Key responsibilities
Respond to reactive repairs and breakdowns within set SLAs and KPIs
Strive to first-time-fix on all reactive jobs
Work collaboratively with the team
Report further works required using the company bespoke system app
Provide technical support to office staff and clients when required
Keep record of parts used and diagnostics of each breakdown
Enhance equipment performance and reliability by developing technical skills and knowledge inline with our continuous-improvement culture
Always comply with statutory health and safety obligations

Qualifications Required

Experience in reactive and planned maintenance
Commercial Gas Qualification
Gas Safe Registered
Full UK driving license
