Machine Operators (Part Time)

CMS Recruitment are currently working with a very well known company based in Gateshead. We are currently looking to recruit for a number of Machine Operators.

Your main duties will include the below:

Operation of press machinery and making adjustments to the settings where required - Full training will be given.

Quality inspections of materials

House keeping of factory floor

An induction is required onsite prior to being offered any role.

You will be trained on day shift and then be alternating between dayshift and late shift.

Hours:

Monday to Friday 08:30-12:30 Dayshift

Monday to Friday 18:30 - 22:30 Lateshift

16 or 20 hours per week. Temp - Perm Position

Overtime available during the week and weekends

Shift allowance given once full training is complete.

Welder

CMS Recruitment are currently working with a very well known Engineering company based in Gateshead. We are currently looking to recruit for a number of MIG Welders.

MIG welding in a busy welding / fabrication workshop.
Batch Work 
Must be willing to work to strict deadlines with a professional attitude 
Must be able to work alone and part of a team 
Previous experience in a welding environment (Candidates who have just complete level 2 or 3 welding qualification will be considered). 
Working hours Monday - Thursday 06:30 - 16:30 or Monday to Thursday 08:00 - 16:30 Friday 08:00 - 13:00 

39 hours per week / Overtime available 

Onsite parking and easily accessible via public transport 

Hourly Rate £12.50 - £15.50 per hour 

Fence Erector

CMS Recruitment are currently working with a well know manufacturing company based in Washington , Tyne & Wear who are looking to recruit a number of fence erectors on a temporary to permanent basis.

Duties will involve but won't be limited too:

Establishes the location for a fence, and gather information needed to ensure that there are no electric cables or water lines in the area.
Aligns posts, using lines or by signing, and verifies vertical alignment of posts, using plumb bobs or spirit levels.
Measures and lays out fence lines and mark posthole positions, following instructions, drawings, or specifications.
Digs postholes, using spades, posthole diggers, or power-driven augers.
Sets metal or wooden posts in upright positions in postholes.
Mixes and pours concrete around bases of posts, or tamps soil into postholes to embed posts.
Makes rails for fences, by sawing lumber or by cutting metal tubing to required lengths.
Nail top and bottom rails to fence posts, or inserts them in slots on posts.
Stretches wire, wire mesh, or chain link fencing between posts, and attaches fencing to frames.
Needs knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in the construction or repair of building structures.
Install equipment, machines, wiring or programs to meet specifications.
Adjust actions in relation to others’ actions.
Performs routine maintenance on equipment and determine when and what kind of maintenance is needed.
Considers the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one.
Analyse information and evaluating results to choose the best solution and solve problems.
Estimates sizes, distances, and quantities, or determine time, costs, resources, or materials needed to perform a work activity.
Uses relevant information and individual judgment to determine whether events or processes comply with laws, regulations, or standards.
Essential Criteria:

Experience in all types of fencing - Domestic and Commercial
Experience and knowledge of strict H&S operations and its practical implications
Excellent organisational and communication skills
Ability to work using own initiative and as part of a team
Full UK Driving Licence
Construction Skills Certification Scheme Certification
CAT & Genny Trained
Desirable Criteria:

Assembly Operatives

Our client is currently recruiting for assembly operatives with PCB / electronics experience to work at their factory on a temp to perm basis:

The ideal candidate will have experience of working in manufacturing, have good knowledge of the electronics assembly environment, and be able to demonstrate some of the skills detailed below:

• Use of all production equipment including surfacemount, light guides.
• Able to understand Assembly build documentation
• Electronic component recognition
• PCB assembly
• Hand population, inspection, touch up and testing of PCBs
• Hand soldering
• Final assembly and test

About you:

Hours of work: 38 hours per week

Forklift Driver / Despatch Operative

CMS Recruitment limited are working with a well established engineering company based in Washington who are looking to recruit a Forklift Truck Driver / Despatch Operative .

Experience within a busy factor is essential and you must hold a valid FLT Couterbalance license.

Shift times:

Dayshift 08:00 - 17:00 Monday to Thursday / Friday 08:00 - 12:00

Backshift 12:00 - 22:00 Monday to Thursday  

These shift will work in a rotation so you must be able to do both.

CNC Machine Operator

CMS Recruitment are currently working with a very well known Engineering company based in Washington. We are currently looking to recruit for a CNC Machine Operator.

Duties will include but not be limited too:

• Operate machines to required quality standard

• To programme machines

• To work with a range of materials including cast iron, mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium

• To use a range of measuring equipment together with working knowledge of inspection procedures

• To work as part of the machine shop team

• To work in a safe manner and comply to the company’s health and safety policies

• To carry out any other duties not listed above as may reasonably be expected The Person

Working hours are 38 per week.

Dayshift 06:00 - 15:00 Mon - Thurs 06:00 -

Nightshift 20:00 - 06:00 with an additional shift allowance Monday - Thursday

Warehouse / Shop Assistant

CMS Recruitment are currently working with a very well known store based in Gateshead. We are currently looking to recruit for a Warehouse/Shop Assistant to work in a busy retail store.

The Role:

The role is 45 hours per week, Monday to Friday and Sunday, Saturday off.

Key responsibilities:

Taking delivery of goods and supplies.
Checking for damaged or missing items.
Stock put-aways.
Moving stock around by hand.
Order picking/packing and loading/delivering to retail units.
Receiving/processing internal stock transfers.
Keeping records of stock.
Cleaning work and rest areas.
Other duties as assigned.

Commercial Gas Engineer

Our Client is looking for some commercial gas engineers to join their team. The day-to-day roles will be covering reactive maintenance across the different clients we have covering the gas breakdowns and PPM works. Candidates from a domestic background looking to move into a commercial work will be considered, and put through the relevant training if successful.

Any of the below qualifications will be beneficial:
COCNC01- Commercial Changeover
CIGA1- Indirect Fired Commercial Appliances
ICPN1- Installation Commercial Pipework
CDGA1- Direct Fired Commercial Appliances
TCP1A- Testing & Purging of pipework.
CORT1- Overhead Radiant Heaters (Not essential)
Catering and LPG qualifications would be preferable, but we have no issue putting engineers through training and getting them qualified for anything we need them to have
Typical working hours will be 8-5pm, but some days may start earlier depending if the issue needs to be resolved before trade begins.

Pay rate will be between £19-£23 p/h. You will be paid from when you leave home to when you return. The hours spent travelling before th first job will be paid at £15, but as soon as you are logged on, you will be paid at the agreed hourly rate.

Overtime will be paid 6pm-6am. This is paid at time and a half, there is also a call out rota which works out every 1 in four/five weeks. Call out is Monday to Sunday paid at call out rate per job, this is:
• £100 (First job),
• £75( Second Job)
• £50 (Third Job

You will be trained on day shift and then be alternating between dayshift and backshift.
Hours:

Monday to Thursday 06:30 - 16:30 Early shift

Monday to Thursday 12:30 – 22:30 Back Shift

37.5 hours per week. Temp - Perm Position

Overtime available during the week and weekends

Shift allowance given once full training is complete.
